GAA Football All-Ireland Qualifiers Round 3 draw

Sunday, July 11, 2010

The draw for Round 3 of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship

Qualifiers has thrown up a number of fascinating ties.

The plum tie, no doubt, is the meeting of Pat Gilroy's Dublin and

Armagh, who enjoyed a four-point win over Fermanagh in the last of the

Round 2 Qualifiers on Sunday.

Both sides have enjoyed provincial dominance in recent years, but find

themselves plotting a course to the GAA All-Ireland quarter-finals after

early defeats in their respective provincial competitions.

Dublin enjoyed a reasonably comfortable win over Tipperary on Saturday

and will have home advantage again next weekend against Paddy O'Rourke's

Cork, who demolished Cavan on Saturday, will travel to meet a Wexford

side buoyed by a shock win over Galway at Pearse Stadium.

Elsewhere, Kieran McGeeney's Kildare travel to Derry for what promises

to be a tough, evenly matched encounter.

The final ties sees Tom Cribbin's Offaly take on Down - who beat

Longford in Pairc Esler on Saturday - at home.
