THE BEST GAME OF FOOTBALL THIS YEAR SEEN BY MANY.

On a beautiful Monday evening in Kilrush ,the home side entertained Clarecastle in the quarter final of div 2 u16 championship.

And what a treat both teams served up. The home side  got of to a blistering start and were 6pts to 1 up after 15 mins with Billy Clancy scoring four pts from frees and Ross Phelan and Ray Glynn supplying the other two scores .Stephen  Barry replying for the visitors.

In the next 10 mins the home side scored 3 goals ,two by Nial Reynolds and the other scored by Ross Phelan.

Cian Donnelly and Adam Cassidy replyed with two further points for Clarecastle to leave the half time score, KILRUSH/KILLIMER 3.06 CLARECASTLE 0.05PTS

What ever was said in the visitors dressing room at half time had the desired effect as they quickly scored two goals in quick succession by Stephen Barry and Jack Murphy to reduce the deficit.

Further points by Eoin o Hara, Sean Egan , Stephen Barry and two from the impressive Cian Donnelly  left the home side clinging to a one point advantage with 3 mins to go.

Niall Ellis scored what was to be the final score with time almost up to leave  the home side two points up.

Great Credit to both teams on a fantastic game played in great sprit and superbly refereed by Michael Talty.
